This week we are pleased to publish a new and guest-article on our Medium channel authored by Prof. Enrico Al Mureden – Full Professor of Civil Law at the Department of Legal Studies of the University of Bologna and Professor of Product Safety, Product Liability and Automotive, at the Motorvehicle University of Emilia-Romagna (MUNER).
The article, titled “Smart mobility and health emergency: towards a new era?” brings a different viewpoint about a topic that we have already touched, the recent pandemic emergency that has quickly disrupted the status quo for citizens, customers and businesses. Prof. Al Mureden looks into the impacts of this event on the mobility domain, to examine whether it has been an interruption of a path or acceleration of a trend (the mobility automation).
What role can these mobility paradigms (Highly Automated Vehicles and intelligent infrastructures) play in this new world? How best can policymakers support the paradigm shift?
