Here’s a demo of the disruptive SEMPLUS 3D multi-touch and pressure smart surface technology showcased at CES 2019.

With SEMPLUS, multiple A-surface materials, – including vinyl, leather, wood, metal – can be transformed into smart surfaces. These surfaces harmoniously integrate into the vehicle interior and will enhance automotive vehicle interior features and the overall user experience.

At RE:Lab we have been involved in the development of the UX/UI, showing the interaction between the user and the infotainment system.

In this demo the SEMPLUS pressure smart surface allows the user to change the climate, the seats setup, the interior lightings as well as media and radio within a vehicle interface. SEMPLUS technology can be tuned to detect varying degrees of pressure during the activation event, allowing the fast activation of some functionalities, like Temperature control.

Serena Fruttaldo, Elisa Landini and Andrea Castellano from RE: Lab participate to AutoMate EU project General Assembly in Budapest on the 27th and 28th of February 2019. The main goal of the meeting is to plan the final event of the project, that will be in Paris on the 12th of June 2019.
RE:Lab is a member of the AutoMate EU project‘s Consortium and is looking forward to the project final event.
