Designing human experiences for complex technologies.

Position

To strengthen our technical division, we are looking for a Backend Software Developer to contribute to the development of web-based applications and services.

The role focuses on building scalable backend systems, APIs, and services, working within multidisciplinary teams on real-world projects across different domains.

Main Activities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for web applications.
• Design and implement server-side logic and data processing workflows.
• Work with databases and data models to ensure performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and designers to integrate application features.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions.
• Support testing, debugging, and performance optimization activities.
• Contribute to technical documentation and project deliverables.

Requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in backend development using Node.js (or similar technologies).
• Understanding of REST APIs, web services, and server-side architecture.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL).
• Knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Understanding of software development workflows and version control systems.
• Ability to work in a structured and collaborative environment.
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g. React).
• Familiarity with cloud environments or deployment pipelines.
• Experience with microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of authentication, security, and performance optimization.
• Interest in full-stack development.

Other information

Schedule: Full- time, 40 hours per week.

Location: Reggio Emilia, on-site
