Designing human experiences for complex technologies.


Position

To strengthen our R&D activities, we are looking for a Research Intern to support exploratory and development projects at the intersection of digital technologies, intelligent systems, and Digital Humanities.

This internship is aimed at candidates interested in bridging humanities research with data-driven and AI-based approaches, contributing to innovative projects in digital preservation, content organization, and adaptive digital systems within multidisciplinary teams.


Main Activities:

  • Support research and development activities related to intelligent digital systems and data-driven solutions in cultural and humanities contexts
  • Collaborate in the exploration, configuration, and testing of AI-based tools for content analysis, classification, and knowledge organization
  • Participate in cataloging, classification, and digital preservation workflows for digital collections
  • Support data analysis, content structuring, and knowledge representation processes
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, and engineers on experimental interaction and system behaviors
  • Contribute to documentation, research reports, and internal outputs
  • Participate in iterative research, prototyping, and digitization activities within ongoing R&D projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Digital Humanities, Humanistic Informatics, Italian Literature or related interdisciplinary fields.
  • Strong interest in artificial intelligence, data-driven systems, and emerging digital technologies.
  • Ability to approach technology with a critical, analytical, and human-centered perspective.
  • Basic familiarity with digital tools, programming concepts, or computational thinking.
  • Curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to work in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
