Designing human experiences for complex technologies.

Position

To support the growth of our Software Engineering division, we are looking for an Embedded Software Development Internship (extracurricular internship) to join our technical team.

The internship offers the opportunity to work on real software development projects, contributing to the implementation of embedded applications and graphical interfaces for complex systems. The selected candidate will collaborate with experienced software engineers and will progressively develop technical skills in C/C++, modern software architectures, and Qt/QML technologies.

We are looking for a curious and motivated candidate who is passionate about software development, enjoys understanding how systems work, and is eager to grow within an engineering environment focused on innovation and high-quality software.

Main Activities

• Support the development of embedded software applications using C/C++.
• Contribute to the implementation of graphical user interfaces using Qt/QML.
• Participate in software design, coding, debugging, testing, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with software engineers on the development of applications for embedded and interactive systems.
• Support software integration and performance optimization activities.
• Contribute to technical documentation and project deliverables.
• Participate in multidisciplinary projects involving software, HMI, and embedded technologies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Good knowledge of C/C++ programming.
• Strong interest in embedded software development and system-level programming.
• Curiosity toward graphical application development and modern UI frameworks.
• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving attitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Qt and QML.
• Knowledge of Linux-based development environments.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Basic understanding of embedded systems and software architecture.
• Personal or academic projects involving C/C++, embedded development, or graphical applications.

• Duration: 6 months
• Schedule: Full-time
• Start date: To be agreed based on candidate availability
• Work location: On-site, Reggio Emilia HQ
• Internship allowance: the internship includes a monthly reimbursement, in accordance with the applicable regional regulations.
