About this position

Company Description

RE:LAB is a design and innovation company specialized in shaping the interaction between people and complex technologies.

Since 2004, we have been working on products and systems used daily across the automotive, industrial, and consumer sectors. Our goal is to make advanced technology understandable, safe, and natural to use.

We don’t just design interfaces. We design experiences that bring together design, engineering, human factors, and artificial intelligence. Our multidisciplinary team tackles real-world challenges in highly complex contexts, where quality and reliability are essential.

We partner with global companies when user experience is not a detail, but a critical factor for a product’s success—when adoption, safety, and user trust truly make the difference.

At RE:LAB, we believe technology should feel human. This belief guides the way we work, the design decisions we make, and the relationships we build every day.

Designing human experiences for complex technologies.

Position

We are looking for a UX Designer to join our HMI team and contribute to the design, analysis, and documentation of user interactions for innovative mobility and HMI solutions.

The role focuses on designing and structuring interaction flows for complex interactive systems, translating user needs, design concepts, and system requirements into clear user journeys, functional specifications, and well-structured UX documentation.

The selected candidate will work closely with UX designers, engineers, system specialists, and other stakeholders, contributing to the definition and evolution of HMI solutions throughout the design and development process.

Main Activities:

  • Design and document user flows, task flows, user journeys, and interaction scenarios for HMI and digital interfaces.
  • Translate UX concepts and user needs into clear interaction models and functional UX specifications.
  • Define and maintain structured documentation describing interaction logic, system behavior, and user-system interactions.
  • Analyze features and system requirements to identify interaction logic, dependencies, edge cases, and potential usability issues.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, flow diagrams, and other UX deliverables using appropriate design tools.
  • Work closely with engineering and system teams to assess the consistency, feasibility, and implementation of interaction concepts.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the definition and validation of HMI interaction solutions.
  • Conduct user research, competitive analysis, and UX benchmarking to identify relevant interaction patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of UX processes, methodologies, and documentation standards within the HMI team.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Interaction Design, Communication Design, Advanced Design, Human–Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.
  • Previous professional experience in UX, interaction design, HMI, or a comparable field.
  • Strong interest in UX, HMI, and interactive technologies, particularly within mobility, automotive, or other complex technical environments.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Figma; familiarity with tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent platforms is considered a plus.
  • Ability to structure and communicate complex interaction models and processes in a clear, logical, and user-centered way.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design methodologies, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and usability.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear and consistent interaction solutions.
  • Strong written and spoken English
